    • Diaper need is defined as a lack of access to a sufficient amount of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy.

    • 1 in 3 families find themselves without diapers.
  • How does this affect a child?
    • When a child experiences diaper need, it can result in diaper rashes and urinary tract infections, along with other health issues.
  • What happens when families don’t have enough diapers?
    • Many childcare programs require parents to provide disposable diapers. If a parent can’t afford diapers for childcare, they may not be able to work.  Without work, they cannot afford diapers. If a child gets an illness from wearing dirty diapers, families have to lose work to care for the child while also shouldering medical costs.

    • Yes, JFS Weinberg Food Pantry has experienced a 67% spike in requests for diapers and wipes.

    • TOP the organic project is a women-owned, social impact brand bringing organic, plant-based and sustainability to period products. Founded by 2 fearless moms, who left their executive careers to build an innovative brand with purpose that was inspired by their teen daughters. A key part of TOP's mission is developing partnerships with non-profits and underserved communities to provide access to healthy and eco-loving tampons and pads so all women and girls can reach their fullest potential. Together, they envision a world with a little more love and a lot less plastic.

    • Donations for Dignity allows the JFS Weinberg Food Pantry to work directly with ABBY&FINN + TOP to ensure the donations will properly fulfill the needs of the families they serve.
  • Is there a savings by donating rather than purchasing at the store?
    • Yes! Your generous donation provides diapers at a 28% savings and a 40% savings on feminine hygiene products.
  • In addition to the cost savings, what is another benefit to donating through Donations for Dignity and JFS?
    • We will work closely with the nonprofits to ensure they receive the specific products they are asking for. This includes selecting the diaper sizes they need the most as well as a combination of pads and tampons.
  • Can one obtain these items through WIC or SNAP?
    • No, unfortunately, WIC and SNAP benefits do not apply to diapers and feminine hygiene products often leaving families to choose between food or clean diapers for children.

  • Why is Donations for Dignity occurring during the High Holidays?
    • Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March, the Weinberg Food Pantry has experienced a 400% increase in demand for service and has distributed more than 2 million pounds of food and supplies. Please support our efforts to help vulnerable women and children in our community who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic by donating to the Donations for Dignity initiative. 2021 will be another unusual High Holidays as some attend in-person, and others virtually; we must continue to support the JFS and the diverse communities. Support for Donations for Dignity is an online inclusive campaign where everyone can participate.
  • How do I get my tax-deduction letter?
    • A thank you letter will be sent to you. Contributions to the Donation for Dignity initiative through Jewish Family Service of Colorado are fully tax-deductible with our EIN#84-0402701.

    • Founded in 1872, Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) is a nonsectarian, nonprofit human services agency serving Colorado. JFS believes in strengthening the community by providing vital services to vulnerable individuals and families. JFS offers a variety of programs to help those in need navigate life’s challenges through integrated support. JFS seeks to enhance the well-being of Coloradans by providing essential food and supplies to individuals and families adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic hardship through the Weinberg Food Pantry. JFS is still experiencing a 400% increase in clients in need of access to food and supplies. JFS Weinberg Food Pantry provides more than 6,000 diapers, wipes, and feminine hygiene products each month.
  • What will the $18,000 matching donation provide for the JFS Weinberg Food Pantry?
    • Diane Cushman Neal and Scott Neal will match all donations up to $18,000, which will provide 300,000 baby wipes and nearly 500 women feminine hygiene products for a full year.
